1) Open up your Windows directory (Normally C:\Windows).

2) Find the file called Hosts.sam, and open it in Notepad.

Host File Screenshot Link 3) Above the line for localhost enter the following:

192.168.1.1 riscpc.my.home riscpc
192.168.1.2 novapc.my.home novapc

Now save the file as Hosts, in the Windows directory. (The .sam extension is removed in order to make the Hosts file active).

4) Find and open the file called Lmhosts, in the manner described above.

Lmhosts Screenshot Link 5) At the bottom of the file enter the following:

192.168.1.1 riscpc #PRE
192.168.1.2 novapc #PRE

Now save the file as Lmhosts, in the Windows directory. (Again, the .sam extension is removed to make the file active.

6) This completes the PC Host file editing.
